Church Choir – is made up of anyone from the congregation who wishes to sing. They are under the direction of Yuri Klaz and practice every Thursday evening at 7:30pm. They serve the church by singing in three Worship services each month, performing two major concerts and singing at several special events throughout the year.
First Mennonite Junior Choir – is made up of children from Grade 1-8. They sing under the direction of Monica Bock and practice every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm. The children sing in an Advent worship service, on Mother’s Day and on one or two additional occasions.
Occasional Choir – is made up of anyone who wishes to sing and is available during the day. The choir serves the church by singing at funerals and occasionally on Sundays under the direction of Henri Enns. Practice time is usually one hour before the service starts.
Men’s Choir – sings a couple of times per year under the direction of Henry Engbrecht. Rehearsals are announced in the church bulletin as required.
Women’s Choir – sings a couple of times per year under the direction of Eleanore Wieler. Rehearsals are announced in the church bulletin as required.
The Worship Band – is a fluid group, as participants change from one Sunday to the next. They accompany one or two hymns each week. Contact Mark von Kampen to join in! Any instrument can play a part!
FMC Orchestra – plays in an Advent, Christmas and Easter worship service and are under the direction of Melissa Hodge. All ages and instruments are welcome!
Special Music – at various times during the year soloists or small groups provide worship music.
